Halloween Event 2024

Finally! Its time for the Halloween event. The event is a good way to earn some in-game money for all types of players. The event consists of a variety of content happening around Exora. You can visit the Nightmare Dungeon which is the main area to earn halloween tokens. There are lots of world events happening throughout the day as well! We're also experimenting with different types of events, such as the superior halloween monsters, superior death boss. You can even create event pet armour for either battle pets or skill pets. The halloween shop now also has a donator token. There's lots of things to discover!

Now let's go through each Halloween event and explain them!

Maggie's Quest

You must first start with Maggie's Quest in order to start receiving Halloween tokens from monsters in the nightmare dungeon. Halloween tokens can be used to purchase from Brother Jack's shop. Maggie will ask you to defeat monsters in the nightmare dungeon. Once you've killed the monsters, return back to Maggie to complete your quest. Completing the quest will grant you a Halloween mystery box, and the ability to receive drops from monsters in the nightmare dungeon. This quest is a repeatable quest, you'll be able to take this quest once every day for a halloween mystery box. (Note: You'll only have to complete the quest once in order to receive drops)

To go to Maggie simply use the command ::halloween/::hween or use global teleports > event > Nightmare Dungeon

Halloween Tokens

After completing Maggie's Quest, monsters at the Nightmare Dungeon will now always drop Halloween tokens. These monsters will drop anywhere between 50-125 per kill depending on the monster, however this amount can be enhanced with Halloween trinket. You will now also be able to receive Halloween tokens from general gameplay such as; Task Scrolls, Clue Scrolls, Dailies, Skill tasks and completing Slayer Tasks.

These tokens can be spent in Brother Jack's Shop, or used as a material for titan forging event equipment.

Halloween Emblems

Emblems are a way for players to get more Halloween tokens while grinding out in the Nightmare dungeon. They have a 1% chance to drop from monsters in the area, and will only drop once Maggie's Quest has been completed. Emblems can be cut with chisels to turn in to Halloween tokens. You will be notified by a game message that an emblem has dropped.

Zone Rewards

At the Nightmare zone you'll now be able to progress through zone rewards! You'll be able to obtain a bunch of Halloween soulcages, lots of mystery boxes, shoulder pets, weaponry, equipment and more! This is so intermediate and beginner players can grind out the Halloween event without much RNG! We've also made the zone rewards much easier to progress.

Daily Challenges

By completing daily challenges during the halloween event you'll receive 1000 halloween tokens and 1 parts of an event ticket per task. Previous summer fail-safes and parts will also be used for halloween event. These parts will now be used for all events moving forward. So don't worry if you weren't able to complete the fail-safe ticket.

By collecting 84 parts of an event ticket via daily challenges, you can combine them for an event fail-safe ticket. These act the same way as regular fail-safes but are untradeable.  You can combine x2 event fail-safes to create a superior event fail-safe ticket.

Halloween Slayer

All halloween monsters can now be assigned as a slayer task from masters Vannakka+
They also all have a superior variant, which generally has the same drops as regular superior, with a few twists.
They're guaranteed to drop a halloween mystery box, superior essence, halloween tokens and eyeball gummies! Of course they also have some rare drops like the nightmare soulcage, or the superior death key (more information below).

Superior Death Boss

A new superior slayer boss for slayer enthousiasts. Like the Superior Demon, you require a key to challenge the Superior Death. It is an instanced fight and may only be killed once per key. Superior halloween monsters, halloween world bosses and halloween mystery box drop the superior death key. Once you've obtained the death key, head over to the superior key lair. Click the entrance door and select which key you'd like to use.

You'll receive halloween mystery boxes, superior essences, fury as guaranteed loot. As well as chance at golden pets, fail-safes and a lot more goodies.

Breaking Halloween Equipment

Pet equipment can be quite hard to make, so we decided to introduce event pet armours. Of course they are not as strong as most of the pet armours (though quite good still). They cannot be upgraded either. However they should serve as a good inbetween for most mid tier players.

You can now break halloween equipment with a hammer or lunar chisel, like regular equipment. These plates can then be used to titan forge battle pet and skill pet armour. The equipment that can be broken can be seen in the tooltip of the item. The amount of plates ranges from 3 to 12 plates per piece.

Adventurer's Log

Just a reminder to check the log, and claim any rewards you may have missed. We've added a new book called Maggie's Book. This will only be in the log until the event has ended. You can complete Halloween tasks to receive Halloween rewards. They're fairly easy, and you have a total of 7 tasks to complete for some goodies.

If you don't know where it is simply go to Quest Tab > Quick Actions >  "Adventurer's Log"

World Events

General Jack

Only available for a limited time. Jack has a respawn rate of 3 hours, and is able to be spawned in via the world boss token. He has interesting mechanics, such as spawning a bunch of nightmare monsters at 50% HP, after the monsters have been killed Jack will do a trick-or-treat mechanic leaving the floor with lovely halloween candies and cakes. Those can be consumed for extra player benefits. Since general jack is a bit of a harder world boss, we've increased its drop rate for rare rewards. General jack is the only halloween world boss that drops the parts of an event ticket!

To fight General Jack use the command ::genjack

Haunted Spider

Another world boss you'll be able to defeat! The haunted spider will spawn every few hours. It attacks with range spells, and isn't too hard to kill. It spawns right in the middle of the Nightmare dungeon. Use the command ::spider to teleport to it. When the spider dies it sends halloween candies to the floor.

Nightmare Kyatt

A skilling world boss! It will only be available during the halloween event. You can only attack it with skilling weaponry and pets. It may also be spawned with the world boss token. To teleport to the Nightmare kyatt use the command ::kyatt or teleport via the events tab.

Bloody Tree

Earn halloween tokens via skilling! The bloody tree spawns every few hours, like the elemental star you have to cut it down to receive its resources. The tree can only be cut down via a hatchet. When cutting it you'll receive bloody branches which can be chiseled in to halloween tokens. You also have a low chance of receiving elemental dusts while cutting it.

You can teleport to the bloody tree via the command ::tree

Pumpkin Hunt

Once you complete the Maggie's Quest you'll receive a pumpkin locator. This is an important item to help you locate the Pumpkin. In order to find the Pumpkin use your locator. At first, the locator will give out very vague hints, every 15 minutes the hints get increasingly easier and eventually if it hasn't been caught it will straight out tell you where it is. Only the first 5 players are able to receive its rewards and benefits, so be quick! Hunt events have also seen a slight increase in rewards.

• When you find the Pumpkin, simply click it to catch it. You'll be rewarded with items, coins and a 30 minute temporary character benefit. Which gives the following:
  • +1% increased drop rate
  • +25% increased XP rate

The Pumpkin will appear every hour. To find out when it spawns simply head over to your events tab!

Pumpkin Rain

While killing monsters (even outside of event) there's a low chance to receive temporary character benefits. You'll roll either the increased drop rate or XP rate. They're the same as the pumpkin hunt benefits, so these 2 benefits will not stack. However if you happen to get another buff while your timer is still active it will refresh it.

All halloween items are obtainable via halloween content and credit shop.
All halloween items can be transmogified, they are in the "Halloween" category.

• Bowl of pumpkin treats
  • Allows you to feed a pet without the specific food required.
• Bubbly blue drink
  • Acts as an overload. Consumes 1 sip and disappears after the first. However is stackable.
• Bubbly red drink
  • Acts as a single aggression potion. Consumes 1 sip and disappears after the first. However is stackable.
• Caramel candy apple
  • Increases experience gained by +10% for 5 minutes.
• Eyeball gummies
  • Increases Halloween token gained by +10% for 5 minutes.
• Wiggly worm cake
  • Increases drop rate by +0.1% for 5 minutes.

Miscellaneous

• Halloween Soulcage
  • Defeat 50 monsters at the Nightmarezone, and receive a reward from their drop table. This is a beginner tier soulcage.
• Nightmare Soulcage
  • Defeat 25 Event World Bosses, and receive a reward from their drop table.

Collection Log

Collection Log Milestone Rewards

We know a lot of players enjoying grinding out the collection log. And the current rewards are quite decent for some logs, however they never provided items. Only character benefits. Which is good for the longterm, but no so much for the short-term! So we've decided to add collection milestone rewards, with over 50 rewards that you can unlock. Players before the update, will automatically receive the rewards up to their milestone when logging in.

To access the collection milestone, go to your quest tab > quick actions > collection milestones.

How it works:
Simply put, when you unlock a collection slot, this gets added to your total number of unlocked slots. For every 25th collection milestone, you receive a reward.

I've tried to be generous with the rewards, as these are one time unlocks. There's a range of useful and great items such as raid soulcages, fail-safes, imbue scroll, expansion scrolls, battle pet plates, lvl 4 heirlooms and so on.

Collection Log Changes

Our collection log was a bit too much, with a total of 2170 slots. Most were pretty much useless items or not rare at all.  So we've decided to completely clean the collection log, with the exception of a few such as raids. We also decided to remove some logs, such as donator mboxes and a few others.

• Cleaned the collection log, from 2170 slots all the way down to 1354!
• Removed the mystery box collection log.
• Removed the superior mystery box collection log.
• Removed the legendary mystery box collection log.
• Removed the burning chest collection log.
• Removed the frost fire chest collection log.
• Removed the deep rock chest collection log.
• Cleaned most of the collection log categories, includes all monster and bosses, black market, scrolls, safe cracking and the rest!

Battle Pass Season 20

Wow! Time fliiiieeeeeeeeeeeeees. Seriously we're already at the 20th Season! For the 20th Battle Pass Anniversary i've increased the rewards a bit, and increased the levels while still retaining the same amount of XP needed to complete it (so don't worry!)

We're also bringing back one of the best custom sets; Prestige Soul Fighter Shaco (yes from league).

Quest Tab Revamp

As you may have already noticed, we've revamped our quest tab to be a bit more modern. The old tab was a bit clunky too, and you really had to squint your eyes to see. We've added a few more things to the tabs, such as a way to check the daily reset timer, more quick actions, and a new tab for events to quickly get an overview for current active events, well of goodwill and the day event. Overall, just a better overview of what you're trying to see.

Star Essence

• Increased the rate of star essence significantly when mining Elemental Star.
• Increased the rate of star essence for small elemental chunks.

• Removed some drops from the rare drop announcements list.
• Spaced out some of the World Events to no longer spawn multiple at the same time. Up to 3 currently. If you find any world event spawns annoying (3+) let me know the exact time and i'll change it.
• All Summer Fail-safes renamed to 'event fail-safes' and will be used for all future events.
• Added Kuradal to the regular donator zone.
• Boosters will no longer be tradeable, or can be sold to the trading post.

• Fixed an issue with Slaughter and Expeditious bracelets equipment model. (It will no longer bug the player model).
