Christmas Event 2024

Finally! Its time for the Christmas event. The event is a good way to earn some in-game money for all types of players. The event consists of a variety of content happening around Exora. You can visit Santa's Dungeon which is the main area to earn christmas tokens. There are lots of world events happening throughout the day as well! We're happy you guys liked the addition of the superior slayer monsters and the superior death. As well as the new pet equipment for events. So we're bringing it back!

Santa's Quest

To start with the Christmas event, you'll first have to complete Santa's quest. Help Santa defeat Fake Santa's disciples and save Christmas. In order to start the quest meet Santa in Santa's Dungeon. You can enter it via the global teleports or using the command ::xmas. Completing Santa's quest will allow you to receive drops and Christmas tokens from the monsters in the dungeon. You'll also receive a Christmas Mystery box, and a Reindeer locator which will come in handy later! Note: This quest can only be completed once per day per IP.

Christmas Tokens

After completing Santa's Quest, monsters at the Santa Dungeon will now always drop Christmas tokens. These monsters will drop anywhere between 50-125 per kill depending on the monster, however this amount can be enhanced with Christmas trinket. You can also receive Christmas tokens from general gameplay such as; Task Scrolls, Clue Scrolls, Dailies, Skill tasks and completing Slayer Tasks.

These tokens can be spent in Santa's Shop, or used as a material for titan forging event equipment.

Christmas Emblems

Emblems are a way for players to get more Christmas tokens while grinding out in the Santa dungeon. They have a 1% chance to drop from monsters in the area, and will only drop once Santa's Quest has been completed. Emblems can be cut with chisels to turn in to Christmas tokens. You will be notified by a game message that an emblem has dropped.

Zone Rewards

At the Santa dungeon you'll now be able to progress through zone rewards! You'll be able to obtain a bunch of Christmas soulcages, lots of mystery boxes, shoulder pets, weaponry, equipment and more! This is so intermediate and beginner players can grind out the Christmas event without much RNG! We've also made the zone rewards much easier to progress.

Daily Challenges

By completing daily challenges during the christmas event you'll receive 1000 christmas tokens and 1 parts of an event ticket per task.

By collecting 84 parts of an event ticket via daily challenges, you can combine them for an event fail-safe ticket. These act the same way as regular fail-safes but are untradeable.  You can combine x2 event fail-safes to create a superior event fail-safe ticket.

Christmas Slayer

All christmas monsters can now be assigned as a slayer task from masters Vannakka+
They also all have a superior variant, which generally has the same drops as regular superior, with a few twists.
They're guaranteed to drop a christmas mystery box, superior essence, christmas tokens and consumeables! Of course they also have some rare drops like the santa's soulcage, or the superior reindeer key (more information below).

Superior Evil Reindeer

A new superior slayer boss for slayer enthousiasts. Like the Superior Demon, you require a key to challenge the Superior Reindeer. It is an instanced fight and may only be killed once per key. Superior christmas monsters, christmas world bosses and christmas mystery box drop the superior reindeer key. Once you've obtained the reindeer key, head over to the superior key lair. Click the entrance door and select which key you'd like to use.

You'll receive christmas mystery boxes, superior essences, fury as guaranteed loot. As well as chance at elemental demon pet, golden pets, fail-safes and a lot more goodies.

Breaking Christmas Equipment

Pet equipment can be quite hard to make, so we decided to introduce event pet armours. Of course they are not as strong as most of the pet armours (though quite good still). They cannot be upgraded either. However they should serve as a good inbetween for most mid tier players.

You can now break christmas equipment with a hammer or lunar chisel, like regular equipment. These plates can then be used to titan forge battle pet and skill pet armour. The equipment that can be broken can be seen in the tooltip of the item. The amount of plates ranges from 3 to 12 plates per piece.

Adventurer's Log

Just a reminder to check the log, and claim any rewards you may have missed. We've added a new book called Santa's Book. This will only be in the log until the event has ended. You can complete Christmas tasks to receive Christmas rewards. They're fairly easy, and you have a total of 7 tasks to complete for some goodies.

World Events

Christmas Sunfreet

The Christmas Sunfreet World Boss is back! The events tab shows when he will spawn. He will drop lots of Christmas goodies and general World Boss drops, and of course World Boss essence. He will spew out snowballs instead of flames! So be aware. To teleport to him use the command ::freet

Christmas Present

The Christmas Present is a World Boss that will spawn every few hours. Defeat the Present and it will burst out with Christmas candies! It also contains Christmas goodies and general World Boss loot. At 50% HP the Present will be invincible and spawn in snow imps, defeat them and continue attacking the Present. At 25% HP the Present will be invincible and spawn in Yeti's, defeat them and kill the Present . The Present appears in the Santa's Dungeon. Use command ::present to get faster access when it spawns.

Christmas Tree Ent

A new skilling world boss! It will only be available during the christmas event. You can only attack it with skilling weaponry and pets. It may also be spawned with the world boss token. To teleport to the Christmas tree ent use the command ::ent or teleport via the events tab.

Christmas Tree

A new way to earn christmas tokens via skilling! The christmas tree spawns every few hours, like the elemental star you have to cut it down to receive its resources. The tree can only be cut down via a hatchet. When cutting it you'll receive christmas baubles which can be chiseled in to christmas tokens. You also have a low chance of receiving elemental dusts while cutting it.

You can teleport to the christmas tree via the command ::tree

Reindeer Hunt

Once you complete Santa's Quest you'll receive a reindeer locator. This is an important item to help you locate the Reindeer. Santa needs his reindeer back, so all you have to do is find the reindeer and shoo it away to Santa! The first 6 players that find the reindeer will receive its rewards.

When you find the reindeer, it will also give you temporary character benefits for 30 minutes. They are as follows:

• 1% increased drop rate
• 25% increased XP rate

Using the reindeer locator will give you hints about where it is located, the first hint is very vague, the longer it takes to find it the easier the hints become. The reindeer will appear every 1 hour.

Magical Snowfall

While killing monsters there's a low chance to receive temporary character benefits. You'll roll either the increased drop rate or XP rate. They're the same as the reindeer benefits, so the reindeer and snowfall boosts will not stack. However if you happen to get another magical snowfall, while  your timer is still active it will refresh your timer.

Santa's Shoulder Pet

• When claiming a store order (::store) guaranteed to receive extra credits depending on the package. Must be equipped or left in inventory.
• Highest package giving +500 extra credits.
• Note: This item will no longer work when Christmas event ends.
• Obtained from Zone Rewards, Christmas Event Shop

Christmas Shoulder Pets

• When equipped and claiming a vote, roll between 1-100 to get an extra vote reward.
• Extra vote reward: 10 minutes of increased experience, 10 minutes of increased drop rate, x1 small cinder lamp, x1 vote book and 1-2.5m cash
• Monkey: 25% chance to roll an extra reward.
• Dragon: 50% chance to roll an extra reward.
• Octo: 75% chance to roll an extra reward.
• Obtained from World bosses, Credit Shop

Golden Christmas Monkey

• When equipped and claiming a vote receive an extra vote reward.
• Extra vote reward: 30 minutes of increased experience, 30 minutes of increased drop rate, x1 medium cinder lamp, x1 vote book,15m cash and x1 vote mystery box.
• Forge requirement: Christmas octo, monkey, dragon, x10 superior fury essence, x25 superior essence, x500k christmas tokens.
• Obtained from Titan Forge

That's it for the Christmas event, i've left out a lot of rewards since its generally the same as halloween, and obtainable the same way.
